Today I watched Donnie Darko for the ten billionth time and it was just as fantastic as ever. I cannot recommend it enough! It is honestly one of the best films I have ever seen. The story line is amazingly intriguing and full of mystery. Every time I watch it I find something new to ponder, the thought provoking nature of the film is what makes it so fantastic.
Donnie's relationship with the 6 foot rabbit of his imagination named Frank is both intriguing and terrifying. The viewer can't help but wait to see the consequences of Donnie's actions and Frank's doomsday predictions.
Also the aesthetics and the way the film has been shot is beautiful to say the least. And holy guacamole the soundtrack is simply wonderful. Tears for Fears and Joy Division, what's not to like?
Just go watch it. Please.
